Shortbread With Roasted Almonds Recipe
Ingredients
| Plain flour | 185 Gram | |
| Sugar | 60 Gram | |
| Butter | 125 Gram, chilled | |
| Vanilla essence | 5 Drop | |
| 2 tablespoons castor sugar for sprinkling | ||
| Almonds | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
Directions
Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F).
Place all ingredients in the work bowl and process until dough forms a ball, approximately 5-10 seconds, turning the processor on and off several times.
Do not over process.
Turn the pastry on to a floured surface and roll out to the diameter of the flan.
Place it in the flan and press down into a flat cake.
Prick the shortcake with a fork and bake for one hour in the oven.
Sprinkle with castor sugar and leave to cool.
