Shoo Fly Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/4 Cup Dark Molasses | ||
| Boiling water | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Flour | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (Top Layer:) | |
| Crisco | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) (Top Layer:) | |
| Brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (Top Layer:) | |
| 1 Unbaked 9" Pie Crust | ||
Directions
Dissolve baking soda in boiling water, add molasses and vanilla.
Combine brown sugar, flour and crisco to make crumbs.
Pour 1/3 of liquid into unbaked pie crust, add 1/3 of crumbs.
Repeat until all of the mixture is used; bake at 375 degrees for 35 min.
Serve warm with whipped cream.
