Shish Kebab Recipe
In a few words, Shish Kebab is described as heavenly, superb and outstanding. Shish Kebab comes from Canadian cuisine and it is eaten as a Snack. Trust me when I say, you have to try Shish Kebab.
Ingredients
1 pound lamb patties (about 2 cups ground lamb)
1/4 cup packaged seasoned bread crumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1 /4 teaspoon pepper
1 egg
6 lamb kidneys
3 lemons
6 thick onion wedges
6 cherry tomatoes Thin barbecue sauce
Directions
Lightly mix lamb patties with bread crumbs, salt, pepper, and egg.
With wet hands, shape into 12 balls.
Cook kidneys 5 minutes in 2 cups boiling water.
Drain.
Have ready lemons, quartered, and 6 thick wedges of onion.
Assemble six skewers as follows: first a wedge of lemon, then a lamb meatball, a wedge of onion, a kidney, another lemon wedge, another meatball.
To top it all, a cherry tomato.
Place the skewers on a broiler pan.
Brush with barbecue sauce.
Broil 5 minutes; turn, and brush with sauce again.
Broil 5 minutes longer.
