4 or 6 chicken breasts
 
1/2 cup flour
 
1/2 lb. butter or margarine
 
1/2 cup sherry
 
1/4 c chopped almonds
 
3/4 cup chopped onions
 
3 cup chicken or beef broth
 
1/8 lb. butter or margarine
 
5 Tbsp. flour
 
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Flour and brown chicken in 1/2 pound butter; add 1/4 cup sherry.
Pour over chicken; do not cover, let steam escape.
Remove chicken; add almonds and onion to pan and brown.
Add remaining butter and 5 tablespoons flour.
Stir in slowly 1/4 cup sherry and broth.
Replace chicken and simmer 25 minutes.
