Sherried Rice Recipe
Ingredients
3 tbsp. salad oil
1lge. onion, chopped
3 c. rice
2 1/2 cans consomme
1/2 consomme can sherry
2 1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
Marjoram to taste
Directions
Heat oil in large saucepan; add onion.
Saute until yellow.
Add rice; toss until lightly browned.
Dilute consomme with 2 cans water and sherry; stir into rice.
Add salt, pepper and marjoram.
Bring to a quick boil.
Pour into casserole; cover tightly.
Bake in 350-degree oven for 45 minutes or until rice is ten- der.
Saute until yellow.
