Sherried Glazed Spareribs Recipe
Over the years I perfected the art of making this Sherried Glazed Spareribs which was taught to me by my elders. It is always prepared with Meat Meatloaf as the most essential ingredient. Ingredients
1 side (about 2 lbs.) spareribs
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1/2 cup sherry
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons wine vinegar
2 tablespoons minced onion
1 clove garlic, minced or mashed
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire
Directions
Sprinkle the whole side of spareribs with salt and pepper.
Place in a shallow pan and bake in a hot oven (400°) for 40 minutes.
Drain off all the fat that has collected in the pan.
Combine tomato sauce, sherry, honey, vinegar, onion, garlic, and Worcestershire; pour over spareribs.
Lower oven temperature to moderate (350°) and bake ribs 1 hour longer or until tender.
