Shepherd's Pie Recipe

Ingredients
3 cups ground cooked beef
1/4 cup leftover gravy or bouillon
1 tablespoon bottled thick meat sauce
2 1/2 cups mashed potatoes
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 egg, beaten, Salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Directions
Combine meat with enough leftover gravy and condiment sauce to moisten well and hold mixture together.
Turn meat into baking dish; pat level.
Combine mashed potatoes, onion, egg, salt and pepper.
Cover meat with potato mixture, and smooth.
Dot with butter or margarine, and bake at 375°F. 25-30 minutes or until potato topping is puffed and lightly browned.
Note: When preparing beef, remove hard bits and gristle, but put some of the fat through the grinder with the lean.
