Shanghai Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 pound boneless pork, cut in small thin strips | ||
| 1/2 pound boneless veal, cut in small thin strips | ||
| Flour | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Cooking oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 package Pillsbury Brown Gravy Mix | ||
| Soy sauce | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 4-ounce can mushroom stems and pieces,undrained | ||
| 1-pound can chow mein vegetables, undrained | ||
| Celery | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, sliced | |
| Chow mein noodles | 5 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Coat pork and veal with flour.
Brown meat in oil in large skillet.
Add gravy mix, soy sauce, mushrooms, and liquid from chow mein vegetables.
Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
Add celery, onion and chow mein vegetables.
Cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes longer until vegetables are tender
