Shallot Or Green Onion Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/4 cup finely chopped shallots or green onions | ||
| 1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon butter or margarine | ||
| 2 tablespoons tarragon vinegar | ||
| Dry white wine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| 1 tablespoon bottled steak sauce | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Cook shallots in 1/4 cup butter, stirring frequently, over moderate heat for about 1 minute.
Add vinegar and continue cooking for about 2 minutes.
Add wine and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add salt and pepper to taste and the steak sauce.
Remove from heat and swirl in remaining butter.
Serve immediately.
