Shaker Sugar Pie Recipe

Yes, a distant variant of the traditional French sugar pie, this Shaker Sugar Pie is a fine amalgum of all desirable ingredients in vanilla flavoring. Ingredients
| 1 unbaked 9 in. pie shell | ||
| Firmly packed light brown sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cream | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Few grains ground nutmeg | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), softened | |
Directions
Prick pie shell and bake at 450°F 5 minutes.
Set aside.
Reduce oven temperature to 350°F.2.
Mix the brown sugar with flour until blended.
Spoon over bottom of partially baked pie shell.
Combine the cream, extract, and nutmeg; pour over sugar in pie shell.
Dot with the butter.
Bake at 350°F about 55 minutes, or until crust is lightly browned and filling is set.
