Sesame, Ham And Cheese Bites Recipe
Ingredients
| 8 slices of boiled ham, about 7" x 5", 1/8 inch thick | ||
| 4 thin slices ofprosciutto cut in half crosswise | ||
| 8 slices of Gruyere cheese, about 1/8 inch thick, to fit across ham slices | ||
| Corn oil | 5 Teaspoon | |
| Eggs | 5 | |
| Ground black pepper | To Taste | |
| Cayenne pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Sesame seeds | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Bread crumbs | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Italian parsley | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| All purpose flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 3/4 cup melted sweet butter | ||
Directions
Lay out 8 slices of boiled ham.
Cover each with a slice of prosciutto and a slice of gruyere, and top with a second slice of boiled ham.
Cut each into 6 squares.
Beat the oil, eggs, pepper to taste, and the cayenne together in a shallow bowl.
In another bowl toss sesame seeds, bread crumbs and parsley together.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Dip each square first into flour, next into the egg mixture, last into sesame-seed mixture.
Put squares on a buttered baking sheet and drizzle melted butter on top.
Bake for 10 to 13 minutes, until sandwiches are golden and cheese is melted.
Drain on a paper towel for 1 minute
