Sesame Seed Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
| Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Sesame seed | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| All purpose flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Toasted sesame seed | ||
Directions
In a large bowl cream together the sugar and butter.
Beat in egg; add sesame seed.
Stir together flour, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Stir into creamed mixture.
Shape into 8x2x 2-inch log.
Wrap dough in waxed paper and chill till firm, at least 2 hours.
Cut into 1/4-inch slices.
Bake on un-greased cookie sheet at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes. (If desired, before baking press toasted sesame seed into the tops of cookies.)
