Sesame Seed Cookies With Raisins Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon (125 g) soft margarine
1-1/4 cups (250 g) packed brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
Generous 3/4 cup (100 g) cracked wheat
2/3 cup (100 g) raisins
2/3 cup (120 g) sesame seeds
3 tablespoons milk
1-1/2 cups (225 g) whole-wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
Directions
Brush a baking sheet with oil.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a medium bowl, cream margarine and sugar until pale and fluffy.
Stir in eggs.
Combine cracked wheat, raisins, sesame seeds and milk; gradually stir into creamed mixture.
Add flour and nutmeg; stir well.
Using a teaspoon, place small amounts of mixture on oiled baking sheet; flatten slightly.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from baking sheet with a spatula; cool on a rack.
