Sesame Ham & Won Ton Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| Won ton skins | 2 Dozen | |
| Watercress | 1 Bunch (100gm) (Salad oil) | |
| Iceberg lettuce | 6 Cup (16 tbs), shredded (Salad oil) | |
| Water chestnuts | 1 Can (10oz), drained (Salad oil) | |
| 2 cups cold cooked ham cut in julienne strips, or 2 cups cold cooked shredded chicken or turkey | ||
| Sesame dressing | ||
Directions
Cut won tons into 1/2 inch strips.
In a frying pan, heat about 1/4 inch salad oil over medium heat.
Add won ton strips, a few at a time, and fry until crisp and golden (about 30 seconds).
With a slotted spoon, remove from pan, drain, and let cool (store airtight at room temperature, if made a day ahead).
Pluck off and discard watercress stems.
In a salad bowl, combine watercress leaves, shredded lettuce, water chestnuts, and ham.
Cover and chill, if made ahead.
