Sesame Halibut Steaks Recipe
Ingredients
3 halibut steaks, 1 1/4 inches thick
Dash of salt
6 teaspoons butter
3 cups soft bread crumbs
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
3 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon whole thyme leaves, crumbled
1/3 cup butter, melted
Directions
1. Preheat oven to moderate (350° F.).
2. Place the steaks in a buttered baking pan, sprinkle with salt and top each with two teaspoons of butter.
3. Combine the remaining ingredients and sprinkle each steak with one cup of the mixture. Bake, uncovered, until the fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, twenty-five to thirty minutes.
