Sesame Granola With Wheat Germ Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 1/3 cups nonfat dry milk | ||
| Oatmeal | 3 Ounce, uncooked | |
| Wheat germ | 1 Ounce | |
| 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons flour | ||
| Sesame seeds | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 8 dried medium prunes, pitted and cut into small pieces | ||
| 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons vegetable oil | ||
| 1/4 teaspoon each vanilla and coconut extract (optional) | ||
Directions
Combine nonfat dry milk, oatmeal, wheat germ, flour, sesame seeds, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
In a small saucepan combine water and prunes.
Bring to boil; cook about 3 minutes.
Remove from heat; stir in oil and extracts, if desired.
Combine with oatmeal mixture and spread in a 13x9-inch baking pan.
Bake at 325°F.
for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Allow to cool and store in a tightly closed container in refrigerator.
Divide evenly.
