Sesame Crackers Recipe
Discover how to make tasty sesame crackers with an extra pleasing crunch. I tried my hand at making this sesame crackers right from the scratch. Just as it is easy to eat, so is it easy to make!
Ingredients
| Plain flour | 4 Ounce | |
| Milk | 1 Ounce | |
| Sea salt | 2 Pinch | |
| Cold water to mix | ||
| Extra flour for rolling out etc. | ||
| Sesame seeds | ||
Directions
Preheat oven at 450°F/230°C (Gas Mark 8).
Put the flour into a basin with the margarine and salt and rub in with the fingers until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Add a little water (to release the binder in the flour) and mix to a stiff paste with a fork.
Add more water if required.
Knead quickly into one lump of soft dough.
Roll out thinly and cut into squares or rectangles.
Use a spatula to place the pieces on ungreased baking sheets.
Prick with a fork.
Brush with water and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes on the top shelf until golden but not brown.
Take off the baking sheets, leave to cool and crisp on a wire rack.
Store in an air-tight container.
