 All purpose flour1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Salt1/8 Teaspoon
 Baking powder1 Teaspoon
 Shredded sharp Cheddar cheese2/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Mayonnaise1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Cold water3 Tablespoon
 Egg yolk1
 Sesame seeds

Directions

Thoroughly mix flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl and add the cheese.
Combine the mayonnaise and water; and stir all at once into the dry ingredients to form a stiff pastry like dough.
Add 1 or 2 teaspoons extra water if necessary.
Press dough into a ball.
Roll out on a floured board into a rectangle a little thicker than pie pastry.
Brush with egg yolk which has been slightly beaten with 1 tablespoon water.
Sprinkle generously with sesame seeds.
Cut into strips about 1/2 inch wide by 3 or 4 inches long.
Bake on an ungreased cooky sheet at 425F for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden.
