Seasonal Fruit Pastries Recipe
Seasonal Fruit Pastries has a supreme taste. Seasonal Fruit Pastries get its taste from eggs mixed with custard. Seasonal Fruit Pastries is inspired by many cafeterias around the world.
Ingredients
1 lb puff pastry
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 cups custard
1 1/2 cups fresh fruit
1/2 cup apricot glaze
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
Roll out dough to an 1/8 inch (0.25 cm) thickness.
Using a pastry cutter, cut into squares, triangles, etc.
With a fork, prick dough.
Set aside.
Roll out dough trimmings to make 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) wide strips, long enough to circle each pastry.
Moisten pastry and contour strips.
Gently press strips over pastry edges so they stick.
Transfer to a slightly dampened cookie sheet.
Brush contour strips with beaten egg.
Let stand 15 minutes.
Bake in oven 15-20 minutes.
Check often to insure crust does not burn.
Remove from oven.
Let cool completely.
Fill with custard.
Garnish with fruit.
Brush with glaze.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
