Maangchi is making Miyuk Guk or sea plant soup that is especially made on birthdays in Korea. It’s also enjoyed all through the year as its extremely delicious. So, being a Korean you should be serving this to you children on their birthday. But if you are not a Korean, still try this Korea's favorite soup and make your family happy. Like any other soup, this Korean Miyuk Guk is cooked over low heat and its absolutely appetizing. Maangchi also shows how to make a side dish with seaplant to go with the soup.Comments

Thank you for your wonderful cooking videos. I was stationed in Korea and enjoyed the food. I have learned to cook several of the dishes while I was there, but was unable to learn more due to the langauge barrier. The videos make me homesick as I consider Korea my home.
