Ingredients

 
1/2 c. cooking oil
 
1/2 c. flour
 
2 c. chopped onions
 
2 c. chopped celery
 
1 gal. water
 
4 cloves garlic
 
Salt, black pepper and red pepper
 
3 cans shrimp, drained
 
2 cans crab meat, drained
 
1 can oysters
 
Green onions tops
 
Parsley (opt.)

Directions

In large pot, melt cooking oil.
Add flour; stir constantly until golden brown, being careful not to burn.
Add onions and celery; cook and stir until wilted.
Add water and garlic.
Cook, uncovered, over medium heat for 1 hour.
Season with salt, black and red pepper to taste.
Add shrimp and crab to mixture; cook 15 minutes.
Add oysters with liquid, onion tops and parsley.
Bring to boil; cook 5 minutes.
Serve in soup bowls over rice.
