Seafood Pasta Salad Recipe
Seafood pasta salad is a crab pasta salad prepared with added peas. Tossed together with spices and dressed with sour cream and mayonnaise, the seafood pasta salad is filling and appetizing.
Ingredients
1 lb. medium pasta shells
12 oz. crabmeat or 2 cans (6 oz. each) crabmeat, drained
1 lb. cooked peas or frozen peas, thawed
2 c. snow peas, trimmed and blanched in boiling water for 30 seconds or 1 (10 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
Dressing:
1 1/2 Tbsp. paprika
1/2 Tbsp. ground cumin
1/2 Tbsp. ground coriander
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 c. 1% buttermilk
1/4 c. nonbutter fat light sour cream
1/4 c. reduced calorie mayonnaise
1 tsp. lime juice
1 to 4 drops hot pepper sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
Into large mixing bowl, combine the pasta, crab, peas, snow peas and water chestnuts.
In a small mixing bowl, mix together remaining ingredients.
Mix pasta with dressing and stir to combine.
