Sea Chowder Recipe
This sea chowder recipe for seafish cooked along with shrimp and squid is a treat for any adventurous seafood lover. I was apprehensive about the squid for the first time too but belive me, it came out just perfectly cooked. Made with white wine, flavored with lemon juice, bay leaves, garlic and seasoned with salt and pepper, the sea chowder can be served as desired.
Ingredients
| Olive oil | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Garlic | 3 Clove (5gm) | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, quartered | |
| Bay leaves | 2 | |
| Water to cover fish | ||
| Dry white wine | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 1 | |
| 6.squid, cleaned and cut in pieces | ||
| 2 tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and diced | ||
| Fish | 3 Pound, skinned | |
| 1 pound shrimp, shelled and deveined | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Heat oil in a deep saucepan.
Add garlic, onion, and bay leaves.
Cook until onion is translucent.
Pour in water, wine, and lemon juice.
Add squid.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cover and simmer 40 minutes.
Add tomatoes and fish; simmer 8 minutes.
Add shrimp; simmer just until shrimp are cooked.
Adjust seasonings.
Serve at once.
