 Sugar2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Corn syrup1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Water1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Egg whites2
 Vanilla1 Teaspoon
 1/2 cup cut candied cherries
 1/2 cup broken walnut meats

Directions

Boil sugar, corn syrup and water until mixture forms a hard ball in cold water (250° F.).
Have egg whites beaten until stiff and add syrup slowly, beating constantly.
When stiff, fold in vanilla, cherries and nuts and drop from tip of spoon onto waxed paper.
Cool before removing from paper and serving.
Makes about 1 lb.
