Scottish Molded Salmon Recipe
I have to admit this recipe of Scottish Molded Salmon is on my favorite list. I prefer to make Scottish Molded Salmon as a Side Dish for all my family get-togethers. The Asian Scottish Molded Salmon is a delight to serve and enjoy. The Scottish Molded Salmon is made with Salmon which is easy to find at any grocery store. You do not need to be a gourmet to gauge how delicious and flavorful this dish is.
Ingredients
2 to 3 cups (500 to 750 mL) poached salmon
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4 cup (60 mL) scotch or white wine or water
2 tsp (10 mL) prepared mayonnaise
1 tsp (5 mL) curry powder
Capers and lemon wedges
Shredded lettuce or watercress
Directions
€¢ Remove skin and bones from the fish. Measure the 2 to 3 cups (500 to 750 mL). Oil a nicely shaped mold of your choice and pack in the salmon. Cover and refrigerate for a few hours.
€¢ Sprinkle gelatin over the cold liquid of your choice. Microwave 1 minute at MEDIUM.
€¢ Meanwhile, pour into a bowl the mayonnaise and curry powder. Add the gelatin to this mixture while beating constantly. Refrigerate 10 minutes, or until it is partly set.
€¢ Unmold the fish on a serving platter, spread generously with the jellied mayonnaise.
€¢ Decorate the top with capers. Place lemon wedges around, standing them against the fish. Surround with a thick layer of shredded lettuce or watercress.
