Baked Scotch Eggs Recipe Video
The Scotch Egg. I recall a recipe from years ago and produce my version of the Scotch Egg, only baked, not deep fried. Still damn good!
Ingredients
2-3 pond sausage
2 handful of oatmeal
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tbsp garlic powder
Dry sage
3 cups corn meal
2 raw eggs
3 boiled eggs
Flour
Brown sauce
Dijon mustard
Directions
Cut the sausage into two halves.
Add oatmeal to the sausages and crack some black pepper, add Italian seasoning, garlic powder and sage. Mash and mix them together.
Take 2 eggs in a bowl and beat it. Take corn meal in a separate plate.
Take 1 boiled egg, peel and dip it in flour, then dip in beaten egg and then in the corn meal powder.
Grab some sausage mixture and wrap around the egg. Dip it in corn meal and keep aside. Repeat the same procedure for 2 more eggs.
Serve with brown sauce and some Dijon mustard.
