Recipe Story

Essentially very British in nature,Scone is best enjoyed served with evening tea.

Ingredients

 
250 g self raising flour
 
30 g butter
 
Pinch of salt
 
2 tablespoons sugar,
 
1/2 cup milk, plus extra, for brushing
 
Seeds of one Vanilla bean
 
1/2 cup strawberry conserve
 
1/2 cup cream, lightly whipped

Directions

Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.Spread baking paper on a baking sheet.Blend flour,salt & sugar with a blender till it becomes coarse.Add vanilla beans & milk to it to make a soft dough.Spread out dough & level it out.With the help of pastry cutter cut out round thick pieces.Place these pieces on the pastry tray, glace with milk lighlty & bale fr 10 mintues or until it turns golden brown from top.
Serve warm with jam & cream.
