Scone Dough Recipe
Scone Dough is used to make tasty scone. Scone Dough gets its taste from flour mixed with eggs and milk, topped with sugar.
Ingredients
| 2 cups/250g self raising flour | ||
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Butter | 60 Gram, chopped | |
| 1 egg, lightly beaten | ||
| 1/2 cup/125ml milk | ||
Directions
Sift flour and baking powder together into a bowl, add sugar.
Using your fingertips, rub in butter until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Make a well in the centre of flour mixture and using a round ended knife, mix in egg and enough milk to form a soft dough.
Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead with fingertips until smooth.
Using heel of hand, press dough out evenly, shape and top as desired, then bake for 15-20 minutes or until base is cooked and golden.
