Schnitzel Holstein Recipe
Schnitzel Holstein is a German recipe. Schnitzel Holstein gets its taste from veal cutlets, dressed with egs and anchovy fillets. Schnitzel Holstein is inspired by many food chains worldwide.
Ingredients
4 veal cutlets
1 tablespoon flour
Lard or other shortening
Salt
Pepper
4 eggs
2 anchovy fillets
2 teaspoons capers
4 slices white bread, toasted
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
4 sardines in oil
4 slices smoked salmon
1 small can caviar
Directions
Dredge veal cutlets with flour and fry them in hot lard in a skillet.
Season with salt and pepper.
Arrange on a preheated platter and keep warm.
Fry 4 eggs and top each cutlet with an egg.
Garnish with anchovy fillets and capers.
Butter toast and cut into small triangles.
Cover with sardines smoked salmon and caviar.
Arrange around the cutlets.
If desired, the cutlets may be served with buttered green beans, sauteed mushrooms and German fried potatoes.
