1/4 cup ice-cold milk

1 egg

1/4 tsp allspice

Dash ground mace

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

4 tsp onion, minced

1 tsp ground black pepper

1 tsp suet

1/4 tsp brown sugar

1/2 lb. freshly ground beef

1/2 lb. freshly ground pork

1/2 cup branflakes

1/2 cup dried instant potatoes

Combine egg and milk in a large bowl.
Blend seasonings into the liquid.
Add beef, pork, bran flakes and potatoes.
Mix sausage the old-fashioned way.
