Scallops En Brochette Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound sea or bay scallops
8 strips bacon
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Lemon wedges
Directions
1. Wash the scallops and dry thoroughly.
2. On each of four skewers, intertwine a strip of bacon with about three sea scallops or four to six bay scallops. Brush the scallops with the melted butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
3. Broil in a preheated broiler three to five inches from the source of heat five to ten minutes, turning once.
