Scalloped Turnips And Peas Recipe
Ingredients
2 c. cooked mashed turnips
1 c. cooked peas
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2c. bread crumbs
1/2 c. grated cheese
Directions
Place turnips and peas in 1-quart casserole.
Melt butter in saucepan; add flour, stirring until well blended.
Add milk; cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Add salt and pepper.
Pour sauce over vegetable mixture.
Sprinkle with crumbs and cheese.
Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until heated through.
