Scalloped Tomatoes With Breadcrumbs Recipe
Ingredients
| Tomatoes | 2 1/2 Pound, peeled | |
| Bread crumbs | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 3 Tablespoon, grated | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Butter | 3 Tablespoon |
Directions
Cut tomatoes into thick slices and remove some of the seeds.
Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the bread crumbs over the bottom of a buttered 8 inch square baking pan.
Arrange tomato slices in pan in 3 layers, sprinkling each layer with onion, seasonings and 1/2 cup bread crumbs.
Dot each layer with butter.
Bake in a preheated 375° oven about 30 minutes or until bubbling and browned.
