Scalloped Potatoes De Luxe Recipe
Ingredients
6 cups thinly-sliced potatoes (6 medium)
1 small clove garlic, finely minced
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup grated
Swiss cheese
16-oz. can evaporated milk, heated (tall can)
Directions
Heat oven to 400 degrees.
Butter a shallow glass pan, approximately 12 X 7 X 2 inches.
Spread half of prepared potatoes in pan.
Sprinkle with half of garlic, salt, pepper, butter and cheese.
Spread remaining potato slices on top and sprinkle with remaining garlic, salt, pepper, butter and cheese.
Pour milk over all.
Bake about 1 hour, uncovered, or until milk is absorbed, potatoes are tender and top is well browned.
