Scalloped Spinach Recipe

2 10-ounce packages frozen chopped spinach
 
3/4 cup milk
 
3/4 cup shredded American cheese
 
3 beaten eggs
 
3 tablespoons chopped onion
 
1 cup soft bread crumbs
 
1 tablespoon butter, melted

Directions

Cook spinach according to package directions; drain well.
Mix with milk, 1/2 cup of the cheese, eggs, onion, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper.
Turn into greased 8x8x2-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
Combine crumbs, remaining cheese, and butter; sprinkle atop spinach.
Bake till knife inserted off-center comes out clean, 10 to 15 minutes longer.
Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
