Scalloped Rice With Cheese Recipe
Ingredients
| 6 medium onions, chopped, or 1 pkg. frozen onions | ||
| Rice | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked | |
| Boiling water | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 c. diced soft American cheese | ||
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Green pepper | 1 , chopped | |
Directions
Fry the onions in butter until golden brown.
Add rice, salt and boiling water.
Cook until rice is nearly tender.
Then add 1 can of tomato soup.
When the rice has absorbed all of the liquid, stir in gently the green pepper and cheese.
Transfer to well oiled casserole and bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
Serves 6.
