Scalloped Potatoes With Ham And Swiss Cheese Recipe

| 1 large onion, halved lengthwise, thinly sliced | ||
| All purpose flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Milk | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dijon Mustard | 2 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 tsp salt Nutmeg | ||
| Potatoes | 6 Medium | |
| Ham | 8 Ounce, cut into thin strips | |
| 1 cup shredded Swiss or Cheddar cheese | ||
Directions
1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and cook for 3 minutes or until softened. Sprinkle with flour; slowly stir in 1/2 cup (125 mL) of the milk; cook, stirring, until thickened. Stir in remaining milk, mustard, salt and nutmeg to taste. Bring to a boil; cook, stirring, until sauce thickens.
2. Peel and thinly slice potatoes. Rinse under cold water; drain. Wrap in a clean kitchen towel to dry. Stir into sauce; bring to a boil. Stir in ham strips. Pour into baking dish.
