Savory Nut Roast Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 oz. walnuts, minced or liquidized | ||
| 2 oz. cashew nuts, minced or liquidized | ||
| 4 oz. brazil nuts, minced or liquidized | ||
| 1 small onion fried in 1 oz. butter or oil | ||
| 2 tablespoons wheatgerm if liked or 1 level tablespoon onion soup mix | ||
| 4 oz. tomatoes, skinned and sliced or 1/4 pint tinned tomatoes, drained | ||
| Eggs | 2 | |
| 1 level teaspoon mixed herbs or thyme | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
MAKING
1) In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients together and blend well.
2) In a greased tin or ovenproof dish, pour the mixture and apply the melted butter or oil over the top.
3) Place on the top shelf of the oven and bake until brown.
SERVING
4) Slice and serve immediately with the gravy or onion sauce, potatoes and greens or when cold with the chips, salad or rolls and butter.
