Savory Sausage Toad In The Hole Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Savory | 1/2 Teaspoon, dried | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 6 | |
| 2 lb pork sausage links 1 kg | ||
Directions
In bowl, stir together flour, savory and salt.
Whisk milk with eggs; gradually whisk into flour mixture until smooth.
Let stand for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, prick sausages; place in greased 13 x 9 inch (3 L) baking dish.
Roast in 375°F (190°C) oven, turning sausages once, for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden.
Drain off all but 2 tbsp (30 mL) fat.
Remove from oven; increase temperature to 425°F (220°C).
Whisk batter; pour over sausages.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until puffed and golden.
Serve immediately.
