Savory Beef Pie Recipe
Savory Beef Pie is a sumptuous meal in itself. I often make this alone for the weekend luncheons so that everyone ca savor it in peace. Try this brilliant recipe for Savory Beef Pie.
Ingredients
| Shortening | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Green pepper | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| 2 cups cut-up cooked beef | ||
| 2 cups cooked vegetables | ||
| 11/4 cups gravy Drop Biscuits | ||
Directions
Melt shortening in large skillet; cook and stir onion and green pepper until tender.
Stir in meat, vegetables and gravy; heat about 5 minutes.
Heat oven to 450°.
Prepare 10 to 12 Drop Biscuits as directed on buttermilk baking mix package except drop dough by spoonfuls onto hot meat mixture.
Bake uncovered 15 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are brown.
Serve with individual tossed green salads and, for the finale, Double Fudge Cake
