Savory Sirloin Steak Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 3 Tablespoon, softened | |
| 2 large cloves garlic, minced or pressed | ||
| 1/2 teaspoon each dry basil and pepper | ||
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 2 tablespoons fine dry bread crumbs | ||
| 1 top sirloin beef steak (1 1/2 to 2 lbs.), cut 1 1/4 inches thick | ||
Directions
In a small bowl, blend butter, garlic, basil, pepper, salt, and bread crumbs; set aside.
Place steak on a greased rack in a broiler pan.
Roast in a 500° oven for 12 to 15 minutes for rare, or until done to your liking when slashed.
Remove pan from oven and turn on broiler.
Press butter mixture evenly over top of steak; broil 3 inches below heat until butter mixture is melted and bubbly (about 3 minutes).
Transfer steak to a carving board and cut across the grain into thin slanting slices.
