Savory Cheese Bread Recipe
|Unsifted all purpose flour||2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Pound (1/2 Cup)|

|Shredded cheddar cheese||4 Ounce (1 Cup Or 1 Package)|

Cut through mixture with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add to crumbly mixture along with milk and egg.
Beat with spoon until well blended.
Mix together 2 tablespoons onion soup mix and 1/4 cup shredded cheese.
Add remaining soup mix and cheese to batter.
Divide batter evenly between 2 well greased 8x4x3-in dishes.
Sprinkle loaves with reserved cheese mixture.
Cover lightly and let rise in warm place 1 1/2 to 2 hours, just until dough is slightly puffy.
Microwave one loaf at a time.
Microwave at Medium (5) 10 to 12 Minutes.
Carefully remove breads to cooling rack.
Serve warm or cool.
