Ingredients

 2 medium-size yellow onions, peeled and coarsely chopped
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), crushed
 Olive oil2 Tablespoon
 1 pound ground beef chuck
 Bay leaf1 Large, crumbled
 Oregano1/2 Teaspoon
 Summer savory1/4 Teaspoon
 Nutmeg1/4 Teaspoon
 Salt1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Pepper1/8 Teaspoon
 Bourbon2 Tablespoon
 Light brown sugar1 Tablespoon
 Tomatoes1 Can (10oz)
 Tomato Paste1 Can (10oz)
 Water2/3 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

MAKING
1. In a heavy skillet, add oil and heat it
2. Add onions and garlic and saute over medium heat for ten minutes, stirring occasionally
3. Add the beef, break it up with a fork and saute it for about ten minutes till just pink
4. Add in the spices - the bay leaf, oregano, savoury, nutmeg,salt, pepper, borbon and brown sugar and heat it for five minutes
5. Keep stirring occasionally
6. Turn down the heat and add in the remaining ingredients; let it simmer without a lid for an hour and a half

SERVING
7. Serve this sauce hot over pasta
