Sauteed Corn And Okra Recipe

8 slices bacon
 
2 cups sliced okra (about 1/2 pound)
 
2 cups fresh corn, cut from cob Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Cook bacon in large skillet until crisp; remove bacon and set aside, reserving 3 tablespoons drippings in skillet.
Crumble bacon, and set aside.
Saute okra in drippings, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes.
Add corn to skillet; cook 5 minutes longer or until vegetables are tender.
Stir in crumbled bacon, and season with salt and pepper.
