Sauteed Turkey In Mexican Brown Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Vegetable cooking spray | ||
| Vegetable oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| All purpose flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 pound turkey tenderloins, cut into 1-inch cubes | ||
| 1 medium-size green pepper, cut into julienne strips | ||
| 4 green onions, cut into 1-mch pieces | ||
| 1/2 cup canned no-salt-added chicken broth, undiluted | ||
| 1/3 cup no-salt-added chunky-style salsa | ||
| Lemon juice | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cilantro | 1/2 Teaspoon, minced | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Cooked | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; add oil.
Place over medium heat until hot.
Add flour, stirring well; cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until flour mixture is dark brown.
Add turkey; saute 3 to 4 minutes or until lightly browned.
Add green pepper and green onions; saute until crisp-tender.
Add chicken broth, salsa, lemon juice, minced cilantro, and salt, stirring well; cook 10 minutes or until turkey is tender, stirring occasionally.
