Sauteed Soft Roe Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1 Small, finely chopped | |
| Herring | 1/2 Pound, cut into pieces | |
| Flour | 2 Tablespoon, seasoned | |
| Sherry | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 4 toast triangles | ||
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
Directions
Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the onion gently until soft.
Coat the roes lightly with the seasoned flour and add them to the pan.
Fry gently for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring to prevent them sticking.
Add the sherry; cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
Serve on hot toast, sprinkled with parsley.
