Sauteed Chicken Livers Recipe
Sauteed chicken liver is a simple cooked livers recipe. Prepared with melted butter in a skillet, it is cooked to a stew or soup feel with chicken broth for flavoring. An easy and simple chicken livers recipe that can be served for homely meals.
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Chicken livers | 1 pound | |
| 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped | ||
| All purpose flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Chicken broth | 1 Can (10oz), condensed | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Wheat bread slice | 8 , toasted | |
Directions
In 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in hot butter, cook livers and onion 8 to 10 minutes or until livers are done, stirring frequently.
With slotted spoon, remove livers and onion from skillet.
Into pan drippings, stir flour.
Gradually add chicken broth, water and pepper, stirring constantly.
Over medium heat, heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
Cook 1 minute more.
Add liver mixture; heat through.
