Saute Chicken with Walnuts Recipe
Ingredients
| Shelled walnuts | 1 Ounce | |
| Corn oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Chicken | 1 Small | |
| Cornflour | 2 Pound | |
| Shallots | 4 , chopped | |
| Dry white wine | 1/4 Pint | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste |
Directions
Lightly fry the walnuts in the corn oil, drain on paper.
Joint and skin the chicken and coat well in cornflour to which salt and pepper has been added.
Fry chicken pieces in oil with the finely chopped shallots until golden brown.
Add white wine and simmer gently for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked.
Add the fried nuts a few minutes before the end of the cooking time.
Remove the chicken to a serving plate and pour the sauce over, adding a little extra wine if necessary.
Serve with green salad.
