Spiced Sausages In Ale Recipe
Ingredients
| Link Pork Sausage- 1 pound | ||
| Ale | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Bay leaves | 1 , crumbled | |
| Peppercorns | 1 | |
| Whole Cloves | 1 | |
| Eggs | 8 Small | |
| slice | 8 | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) In a muslin cloth, make a bundle of bay leaves, peppercorn, whole cloves.
MAKING
2) In a skillet, put the sausages and saute until lightly browned on all sides but not cooked.
3) Drain the fat from the pan.
4) Add the ale and the bundle of spices to the pan.
5) Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
6) Check, if too dry add more ale.
7) Remove the spice bundle.
SERVING
8) Serve with the scrambled eggs and toast, garnish with parsley.
TIPS
If serving, for the cocktail hour, use cocktail sausages, red wine instead of ale and no spices except cloves.
