Sausage Polenta Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| Turkey sausage package | 1 , smoked | |
| Onion | 1 , finely chopped | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| 1 tomato, peeled, seeded and chopped | ||
| 1 (8-oz.) jar picante sauce | ||
| Basil | 2 Teaspoon, chopped | |
| Oregano | 1 Teaspoon, chopped | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Cornmeal | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Chicken broth | 3 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Parmesan cheese | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), grated | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In a slow cooker, add onion, garlic, tomato, picante sauce, basil, oregano and parsley.
2. Take a medium sauce pan.
3. Put cornmeal and broth in the pan.
4. Cook the mixture and bring it to a boil.
5. Keep stirring till the mixture gets thick.
6. Add margarine or butter and half the cheese into the pan.
7. When the pan mixture is ready, transfer it in the slow cooker.
8. Add the leftover cheese into the cooker.
9. Put the lid of the slow cooker and cook the ingredients for 6 hours on LOW.
SERVING
10.Serve hot in a dish.
